Wild Flower Kids Christmas Release!!!

Happy Monday!!
Today Wild Flower Kids has a Christmas Digi Release!!!

'Tis The Season is the new collection!
If you love Christmas, You will LOVE these!!

They are available exclusively at Stamp Happens Shop!I have made two samples for Today!! I couldnt resist! So I used the snowman and the candy cane! The candy cane card features paper I faux sewed onto red cardstock to look like a quilt effect. I really liked the vintage look to this paper so i used a mix of riding hood red and chocolate chip ink to color the candy cane, I added crystal effects to make it shiny. Behind the 6 square is a layer of riding hood red cs that i punched with my new Martha Stewart Floral Lace punch! The candy cane is popped up on a circle nestie panel and the sentiment panel also has the faux sewing. All the edges are distressed! I really like how this turned out!Next is my snowman card. I used paper from Me and My Big Ideas pack from last christmas and colored the snowman with colored pencils, I used a bit of light blue around the edges and for his cheeks because he is COLD! Gives it a nice look instead of just leaving him white and grey. Some fun layers on this card, used the same punch and added some Satin white ribbon from Papertrey Ink. Sketch is from The Pink Elephant Challenge Blog

Make sure you check out the rest of the Design Team and see what lovely Christmas creations they have made!!!

TTIC#51 Edward Cullen!!!

Hey All! This week the Brilliantly Talented, Perfectly Sweet Jen has picked the best challenge EVER, EDWARD CULLEN!!

Here are her words...
"So recently as I was typing out all 50 of the challenges that we have previously done something struck me as odd. We’ve never done a challenge dedicated solely to Edward. We’ve done Rosalie, Emmett, which team are you on, Jacob, Carlisle, the Moms, both sides of Alice’s life, Bella, Jasper and now Charlie but we have never done one just for Edward.

Well I’m calling it! It’s time to focus on Rob, I mean Edward. Even though the stories are told from Bella’s point of view all of the books with the exception of Breaking Dawn focus almost entirely on Edward, through Bella’s mind. Even in New Moon when Edward is gone her every action is focused on not losing her connection with him. So for this challenge I want you to focus on your connection to Edward. What does his character mean to you?"

For the creative challenge: Create a project that focuses on Edward.

For the comment portion: How do you feel about Edward’s character? Is it like, love or disdain? Have you read the partial draft of Midnight Sun? What did you think about reading the story from his point of view?

Here is my Card featuring Edward Sprout from The Greeting Farm, LOVE this image, such a cute Edward! I colored his hair with copics and paper pieced with Kraft and PTI cs. He is layered onto Earth Love Cosmo Cricket paper. I added ribbon from SU with a Twilight Pin stuck in there featuring Edward from the Baseball scene in Twilight.

The Card Base is Vintage Cream from papertrey ink.
I have Very strong tendencies towards Edwards character in Twilight Series, He is the perfect Vamp...Sparkles, loves, waited for Bella 100 years and more...hes a Vamp...his hair, his eyes..I could go on...He MADE this series for me, the draw between Edward and Bella made it a compelling story.
AND I LOVE Midnight Sun draft, Edward's Point of view is intelligent, caring, conflicted, angsty but you feel the LOVE for Bella through his eyes...makes me just melt!

NOW that we have Twilight Movie and New Moon set to be released we have THIS hottie Robert Pattinson playing Edward....HUNK METER 1-10...25!! SO here are some pictures for you all to swim in and take in...Ahhhh...
This is my favorite so far...I am melting...HOT!

And as always, our Design Team has fantastic projects to display for this week’s challenge – please go and check them out!

What did I buy THAT for?? Bombshell Hop!

It is wednesday!! Time for another Bombshell Hotties Blog Hop!!
The theme of this weeks Hop is...
"What was I thinking?" We've all done it; made one of those purchases that just seem perfect in the middle of a store with a coupon in hand. Then, when you get home, you look at it and say, "What was I thinking?" Well, that's the challenge for this week. Pull out that purchase you made, and let's get it on a card and out of your stash. It might be ribbon, DP or an embellishment, but whatever it is, get it out and use it! And...if you're so inclined, share the story behind the purchase. Remember: One stamper's trash, is another's treasure. *giggle
I decided to use my Flower Soft on the bombshell from A Pirates Life....Why did I buy Flower Soft? Well it LOOKS cool! It IS cool! but me using it...NOT SO COOL! I have the glue...I let it "breathe"..put some in a seperate container to fluff out...It just doesnt look right to me, AND i am not really a flower girl..Stamp wise ONLY... anyone can send me some real flowers at ANY time LOL!

So in trying to be COOL I tried to use my flower soft again...it turned out okay..I wish the tacky glue was easier to use.
The rest of my bombshell was colored with colored pencils and layered onto bazzill cs and dp from K&company. The sentiment and North Star are from the same bombshell set!
Stamps Used: Pirates Life-Bombshell Stamps
paper Used: White cs-GP, pink and green Bazzill cs, K&company greenhouse dp, chocolate chip-SU
Ink Used: Versafine onyx black, chocolate chip-SU
Accessories used: colored pencils, goo be gone for blending, sponge, flower soft sweet Pea, tacky glue
Make sure you check out the Hop!! Start at Angela's Blog!

Dont forget to play along in the Ms. October Challenge!! Bombshells and more up for grabs!!Make sure you check out all the info!

Thanks for stopping by!

TTIC #50 Charlie

Happy Tuesday to you!!
My greatest friend in the whole world, one of the sweetest people I know, talented, inspiring, beautiful Donna has given us this weeks Twilight Tuesday Challenge!
Here is what she says....
“One of the best things about Charlie is that he doesn’t hover.”
This has to be one of the most memorable lines from both Twilight the novel and Twilight the movie…
Let’s face it, we all love Charlie….. And Stephanie describes this quite and thoughtful man’s personality and temperament in this one single sentence. As we all know, Charlie’s relationship with Bella changes from starting out as strangers thrown together in an awkward situation and then slowly grows into a bond that any father and daughter would be envious of.
So, this week my challenge to you is simple…"

Craft Portion: Create a project that represents Charlie’s and Bella’s relationship or a relationship you have with a ‘father’ figure in your life.

Comment Portion: Tell us about your relationship with a ‘father’ figure and why this bond is so special to you

To say this challenge is a tough one is an understatement...here is a little of my story about my father. I have never had any men in my life that were a father figure, my dad was about it....

I unfortunetely did not get to meet my father till 1999, I was 21 years old. I reached out to him, found his address and wrote one of the hardest letters I have ever had to write. but he called me as soon as he got it and my new life started then. He was a sweet hearted man, cared for me deeply. I spent every holiday with him, stayed for a few days at his house...it was a great 3 years...and the reason I say that is because tragically he passed away in early 2001 of a heart attack at 45 years old... but I look back (as I am crying writing this post) that those were three of the best years of my life. He was a huggy feeling type of guy and always had an encouraging word. He was so proud of the woman I was and he loved my children so much...and even though they were so little I am sure my dad made an impression on them. I still miss him so terribly 8 years later.

I chose to make a card reflecting Charlie from Twilight. Hopefully in time I will be able to begin to make scrapbook pages remembering my father, for now the few pictures I have stay safe in the album I was given.
But I will share two pictures, one is of my dad and I in 1999 one of my first visits with him (I know, I went through a "I can be blond" stage! haha)

and the second one is of the infamous card nights..I am on the right side next to my dad...I am the oldest cousin on that side too so I got to play late into the night, spades and poker..drinking a beer with my dad LOL! This was thanksgiving and all the family was in town. So it was me, my dad, uncle mike, uncle scott, aunt kim, uncle kelly and grandma connie. It was really fun! A great memory.

And my dad was somewhat similar to Charlie, my dad loved fishing and was comfortable wearing rugged shirts, flannels and was pretty laid back.

Here is my card...

I used another Mojo Sketch and brought the flannel patterned paper out! :) I used paper from BasicGrey, june bug and Recess lines. I layered them in the background. I used Kraft, enchanted evening and vintage cream cardstock from Papertrey Ink. The sentiment is from Unity Sept 09 KOM, stamped in Not quite Navy. I thought this phrase was very fitting...
Two stacked buttons round this card out. Edges are distressed of all layers, with a combo of Chocolate chip and not quite navy ink.

Another Halloween creation!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday!
We got snow early this morning...Brrrr...Most has melted by now and it should warm up this week a bit more. I am NOT ready for snow!!

My MIL was over yesterday and was lucky enough to go to Crafts Direct in St. Cloud and she picked up some really cute halloween rub ons. She gave me a few sets. There are made by Royal & Langnickel Brush mfg...They are SO cute! They also are really thick and glow in the dark! I thought this rub on was perfect to use with these beautiful colors. I paired this image with Eerie BasicGrey dp and Kraft, Vintage cream and true black PTI cs. I inked the edges with more mustard and chocolate chip SU ink. Two different papers of Eerie are on the top and bottom, the top panel I used scalloped edge punch but it is kind of hard to see. The ribbon is spring moss stitched from PTI.
Stamps Used: none
Paper Used: Eerie-BasicGrey, Vintage cream, kraft, true black, white cs-PTI
Ink Used: More mustard, chocolate chip-SU
Accessories Used: Rub on-Royal & Langnickel, spring moss ribbon-PTI, sponge for inking, scalloped edge punch-SU
I so love this card! Saturday morning crafting makes me happy!
Have a wonderful day! and Happy Thanksgiving to any canadians reading!! :D I cant wait for the US turkey day!! Yum! you can send me some pie!!
