TwilightTuesday TTIC#37, A Little Romance!

Welcome to another installment of Twilight Tuesday Inspiration challenge!!!
This week is TTIC#37 and it comes from the incredible, talented, sweet Donna!!
This week is all about Romance!
Here is the challenge in her words....
"People who know me know that I am a romantic at heart and one of the things I am constantly drawn to is Edward's and Bella's unfailing, undeniable, intense and passionate love they have for each other....

To many of us it's what draws us back to reading the books over and over again....My husband (whom I love with all my heart) is NOT a romantic in anyway, shape or form. And although I knew this when I married him I sometimes find myself craving for a little bit of romance....

So apart from actually going out to find it, I turn to my bookshelf instead! One of the books I pull out when I need a romantic hit is Eclipse...

When Edward finally gets to give Bella his "Hand me down" and when he finally gets her to agree to marry him....along with a few other things!

I took a deep breath."Isabells Swan?" He looked up at me through his impossibly long lashes, his golden eyes soft but, somehow, still scorching. " I promise to love you forever- every single day of forever. Will you marry me?"There were many things I wanted to say, some of them not nice at all, and others more discustingly gooey and romantic than he probably dreamed I was capable of. Rather than embarrass myself with either, I whispered, "Yes.""Thank you," he said simply. He took my left hand and kissed each of my finger tips before he kissed the ring that was now mine."

Creative Challenge:Do you have a favourite Edward and Bella, Jacob and Bella or even a Alice and Jasper romantic moment? Create something that celebrate's their love or how about creating something for that special person who you love.

Comment Challenge:Tell us about your most favourite romantic moment... be it in the books or real life!

Here is my sample, I wanted to use romantic colors and papers. I used the sets from Artful INKAbles again too!

Stamps Used: Into the moonlight, Fictionally yours0Artful INKables
Papers Used: Wisteria BasicGrey, ripe avocado, true black-PTI
Ink Used: versafine black onyx, river rock SU

TTIC#36 A Special Collaboration with... Artful INKables!!!!!!!

EXCITING TTIC week!!!! The surprise that you have been waiting for since yesterday is......
We have a partner for today’s challenge — Artful INKables! To celebrate the release of their two new stamp sets called Into the Moonlight and Fictionally Inspired, we’re working with the Artful INKables team on today’s challenge! I LOVE LOVE LOVE these sets!!!! They rock!!! (These sets are soooo affordable too, and they are red rubbah!!!!)

Artful INKables was founded by Kristin Soboloski to express her love of rubber stamps, art, and all things crafty. After crafting for many years, Kristin began to design her own rubber stamps and her company was born.
And about these new stamps…you have got to see them for yourself! They’re the buzz of the online crafty community! The TwilightTuesday Design Team loves them and we’re sure you will too. And you will definitely recognize the inspiration behind them.
Visit Artful INKables‘ store to check them out and get your own sets! You’ll also want to check out their new Vampire Romance-Themed Pewter Charms Set; they’re beautiful and would be a great addition to any vampy project! Who doesnt need Bella's truck in Pewter, I NEED it!! :)

Now…brace yourself for more good news…AMAZING BLOG CANDY!!
Kristin from Artful INKables has generously provided us with three sets of her new stamps, along with a set of the Vampire Romance charms, to use as giveaways!
Find Out about how YOU can enter to win this AMAZING Candy HERE

And for the Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge theme this week from Julie—
"The theme for this week’s challenge (TTIC36) is What Says Twilight To You?
So many things say “Twilight” to the multitudes of Twilight fans. What images do you think of when you think about the Twilight books and movies?
For some, Twilight means an apple, for some, the chess piece on the cover of Breaking Dawn, and for others, Bella’s truck conjures up the Twilight mood. Many fans love to express their Twilight love by choosing a “team” to root for, and others have favorite quotes from the book that are near and dear to them.

For the craft portion of the challenge: create a piece that expresses what comes to mind when YOU think of the Twilight saga.
For the comment portion of the challenge: Many people often say that reading the Twilight saga has been life-changing. Please share how the saga has changed your own life or made you view life in a different way."
Here is my Project using the amazing Artful INKables sets Into the Moonlight and Fictionally Inspired sentiments!! I stamped this image onto PTI white with versafine black onyx ink and colored with markers and covered the main images with crystal effects. They are shiny. The swirl is stamped in the background with versamark. I added satin ribbon from SU. The sentiment is from Fictionally Inspired and stamped in the same ink.

Stamps Used: Into the Moonlight, Fictionally Inspired-Artful INKables
Paper Used: white, true black, pure poppy cs PTI
Ink Used: Versafine black onyx, versamark
Accessories Used: Whisper white satin ribbon SU, markers, crystal effects SU, sticky tape

The Twilight saga changed my life completely, silly to say sometimes but Stephenie Meyers characters came to life for me, These books made me feel young, and feel that true undying love is out there in this universe and we can overcome anything to achieve that love that WE need. I was completely and irrovicably hooked into these books, reading them at a lightning pace and since reading them 8 times each. Impossible to put down I tell you. During reading these books I was going through some hard times and I must admit this story helped me reevaluate my feelings as a woman, as someone capable of unconditional love who knew what direction I wanted to go in my life, I wanted to be IN love I wanted to feel love and I had a right to ask for it...and I did. besides loving these books I felt bonded with these books and we all remember what being 17 feels like, the good and the bad. Things are much better in my life and I wish I could give Stephenie a HUGE hug because the books she wrote are a part of me now...

And of course, this week the Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge Design Team has used Artful INKables’ new stamp sets for their projects. Check out today’s projects:

TTIC #35 Renesmee

Welcome to Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge #35!! This is my first challenge as a Guest Designer! I hope you enjoy this challenge!!

Today's challenge is taken from Breaking Dawn, we learn that Bella is pregnant and she makes it through the birth and we meet her and Edward's baby, Renesmee or "Nessie" as she is called by Jacob.

She is amazingly talented, gorgeous and immediately becomes the focus of ALL the main characters in an individual way.

Renesmee is half vampire/ half human, she has the gift of being able to transmit her thoughts through her touch. She grows fast and as we find out later in the book she will stop growing at 15 and she is immortal. We learn that Jacob has imprinted on her also. She shimmers in the sun, has her mothers brown eyes, Charlies curly hair, likes blood over food, she learns at an amazingly fast pace and easily wins over anyone that comes near her. I love how she is so charasmatic, I love her character!

"She's like nothing else in the world," he told me... Bella Swan Breaking Dawn pg. 428

"The stranger-child in Rosalie's arms had to be weeks, if not months, old...Her shiny bronze-colored hair fell in ringlets past her shoulders. Her chocolate brown eyes examined me with an interest that was not at all childlike: it was adult, aware and intelligent"....Bella Swan Breaking Dawn pg. 438

Challenge Portion: There are so many options for this challenge, you can focus on the relationship between Renesmee and Bella, Edward, Jacob, Charlie, Rosalie, Aro. You can think of her powers, or just her looks. Anything goes!!

Comment Portion: She has so much power over everyone right away, is there anything or anyone that has pulled you in so swiftly, a friend, a spouse? Do you know a sweet little girl like Nessie without the being half vampire of course . Tell us a little about it!

Here is my card!
I cant stop using these Gorjuss girls for Nessie cards!! They are PERFECT! Tonya was a complete sweetheart to stamp these for me to color!! I colored her with copics and added my usual shimmerz for her skin (because she sparkles!) and crystal effects to her hair and boots. The sentiments, butterflies and designs are all Honey Pie rub ons from Cosmo Cricket! I added a BasicGrey button and Voila, Nessie card!

My Little girl has beautiful brown hair and her dads color changing eyes and my big eye shape, she is the cutest 4 year old to me! :) So everytime I color these images I see her and think of what color dress she would want to wear!
Stamps Used: Gorjuss girls- just a girl
Paper Used: White cs, riding hood red, chocolate chip, pink pirouette SU
Ink Used: Copics YR42, blender, YR00, red marker
Accessories Used: Button BasicGrey, hemp twine, crystal effects SU, Honey Pie Rub ons Cosmo Cricket

TTSVC3!! Getting Krafty with Sookie!!!

Hello!! Its monday the 15th of June and that means a NEW SOOKIE Stackhouse series challenge up on TwilightTuesday.com!! Beth was up this week and the Challenge is to be inspired by Sookie Stackhouse herself!!

"Welcome to Twilight Tuesday Sookie Vampire Challenge (TTSVC) #3!
This month we are drawing our inspiration from our favorite mindreading cocktail waitress, Merlotte’s own Sookie Stackhouse! Certainly she is a unique character!"

Did YOU watch the True Blood Season 2 premiere?? I got to!!! I was so excited!! truthfully I think I needed to read book three, because I was a little lost! But this series rocks and I am seriously concidering adding HBO to our cable!! :)

On to sookie! I LOVE her character, she is strong, loving, and even though she can read minds she is non judgemental, gives everyone the benefit of the doubt! She is HOT and vamps LOVE her!!! hehe! I couldnt imagine having not just one vamp in love with me but TWO (that I know of so far, I need more of the books!!!) and ones who want to eat her! HOW does she DO it!!??
I have two cards for you as inspiration, I think Sookie is "Krafty" so I used Kraft cardstock! She is always finding ways to get out of trouble and she gets in plenty let me tell you!
This card has an Owl, she is always looking at everyone and she has big blue eyes! She just wants to date Bill like a regular "guy" well that doesnt happen too well but she tries! So the Lets hang out is her attempt to be "normal". And a little girly ribbon to embody her girliness in her!

Stamps Used: June KOM-Unity Stamp Company
Paper Used: Kraft SU
Ink Used: Versafine black onyx, versamark
Accessories Used: Ribbon

Next Card is also "Krafty". This card focuses on the Love she has for everyone and for Bill especially. I added some flowers and some ribbon, girly again.
Stamps Used: June KOM-Unity stamp company
Paper Used: Kraft, chocolate chip, pacific point, whisper white SU
Ink Used: versamark
Accessories Used: Summer love rub ons SU, brown ribbon

Craft Portion: Create a project that embodies the uniqueness that is Sookie. Embrace her character, and show some Sookie-love!

Comment Portion: What is it about Sookie that is so captivating? Why do you suppose she was so anxious to meet a vampire? Or, how do you think her life would differ if she never met Bill that night, or if she hadn’t saved him from the Rattrays? hmmm…. Choose question one or take on them all - this is sure to be a FUN challenge!
Check these Sookie Lovers out too!!!! *Beth * Margie *

Twist and Smoosh Ribbon tutorial!!

Hey everyone!
I wanted to show everyone how I do the ribbon technique taught to me from my SU demo! She thought of this all on her own! It is really cool and I love using it!!

I dont have video so I took a series of pictures and hope I can tell you good enough how to do it! It is pretty easy. I call it the twist and smoosh technique :) So here goes!!

Here are all my supplies I used, my QKD stamps, handy dandy Unity B handle, my scissors, my cardstock already cut out, my ribbon and my sticky strip. I have my card already pre assembled so all I have to do is throw it together.

I put my sticky strip in the middle of the paper I want to go directly onto my card base.

I tried to keep it pretty straight across.

make sure it wraps around the back a bit so you can attach the ribbon ends back there hidden. You then remove the red backing of the tape.
Attatch one end of the ribbon on one side back.
I leave the ribbon on the roll if possible, if you want to cut it make sure you cut extra for the twisting and smooshing! You want to start on one end and work from that end across to the other side.
You start by twisting the ribbon, just like a twisty tie just one twist, then smoosh that twist down onto the sticky strip.
Then twist again... and then smoosh again... make sure you keep twisting in the same direction throughout the whole time.
Keep going like that the whole time, twist one time then smoosh, twist another time then smoosh, keeping the twists not too big and close together is the best!
You get a ripply effect! Still twisting...
and then Smooshing down onto the sticky strip...

When you get to the end snip it off with some to wrap around the back and stick to the sticky strip.

Here is my final piece of paper with the ribbon technique all the way across.
You can make it look like you want but this is how mine turns out.

Here is my final card fully assembled.

Stamps Used: Russian Dolls, Your My...-Queen kat designs
Paper Used: Pink armadillo My Paper Studio
Ink Used: Versafine Black Onyx
Accessories Used: Whisper white satin ribbon SU, sticky strip, copics, crystal effects covering the dolls completely.
Hope you learned how to do this technique any questions email me jacquienordaune@gmail.com

TTIC#34!!!!

Hi everyone!! It is Tuesday as my blog followers you have to know what that means by now, right!! ;) YEP! Its Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge day!!! This is my first sample as a Guest Designer!! Exciting times!!! Woo Hoo!!

The challenge this week comes from the Lovely Jen!! She is my fan fiction enabler and one of the new sisters I have aquired! Love ya!
"One of the enigmatic things about Twilight is that every book aside from Breaking Dawn revolves around the school year.
Twilight ends with Prom and New Moon picks back up as school starts again, likewise with Eclipse. I always wonder what Edward and Bella did with their summer vacations, especially that summer between Twilight and New Moon and as summer is creeping upon us rather rapidly with the summer solstice is just under two weeks away on June 21st I thought it would be fun to celebrate summer this week!

As a teacher and a mom summer is a HUGE deal to me. It's a wonderful albeit short break from all things work related and is a wonderful rejuvenator to get me ready for the next school year. And lets not forget my kiddos, I get to spend all summer with my kids. It's the best of both worlds, I get to be a working mom and a stay at home mom and I love it! We spend our summer hanging out at the pool, fishing at the lake, visiting the zoo, and just cramming as many fun activities in as we can."

Now on to the challenges!
Creative Challenge:Your creative challenge this week is to go all out and celebrate summer! You can create a Twilight themed summer piece or you can celebrate your own summer plans or a fantastic summer that has passed.
Those of you participating on the other side of the world from those of us in the US/Canada are just wrapping up your summer... your task is similar to above, celebrate something wonderful you did this summer or focus on Bella and Edward's possible summer adventures.

Comment Challenge:Do you have a favorite summer adventure of your own? I want to hear about it! It could be from your childhood or currently. Do you have any exciting things planned for THIS summer? I'd love to hear about those too!! Dont forget to leave your comment on the TT blog!

Remember: Each comment you leave on a TTIC challenge is an entry into this month's Blog Candy Give Away!!!

Here is my sample card!
I wanted to make a card with Summer colors, I love the browns paired with the bright colors, reminds me of Forks WA, the trees and the dark mountains, just the earthy colors all year around. The Cullens have to dig out the summer bright colors during the summer with Alice as fashionable as she is right? I can just see Edward wearing a kiwi kiss or pacific point colored button down shirt! Bella, Rose and Alice in bright pinks and light orange colors! It is my birthday on the 19th of this month and it is great having a summer birthday! So I used a tree stamp because I want to sit in the meadow with Edward for my birthday, anyone know how I can do that?? ;) I couldnt help using my favorite ribbon technique! (I will post a tutorial on Thursday for this technique!)if you are reading this, thanks muffie!
