Fun with Bombshell Stamps!!

I recently got some fun new Bombshell Stamps images stamped for me in a swap!

I had a blast with them, I hope to use more soon!!

Here is a card using the Til Death set. I colored with my copics, I really like the blue all over. I used crystal effects for her hair, the guy, the diamond and the heart. When my daughter showed it to my husband he was all ready with the "oh that looks nice" speech and then he stopped and said "thats not nice" LOL! I sooo LOVE these images so phooey on him! :)

Special Twilight Tuesday Collaboration Project!!

I have some sympathy for Jake, i for sure know where he is coming from...but I like my vamps and distinguished vamps at that! :)

Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge #40!!

Twilight Tuesday Inspiration challenge #40 is here! Woo Hoo!

My Fan Fic sister Jen this week has given us the challenge to use blue as our inspiration! She was worried that this challenge might be too plain jane...Not at ALL! Especially with New Moon upon us soon all the time Bella was Blue, SO fitting! Blue could signify the mellow feelings she had when she was around Jacob, any relaxing times...You can spin this so many ways!

"Blue. Edward loves Bella in blue.
“That color blue looks lovely with your skin,” he said, watching me. I was surprised; I looked down, flushing, of course.”

So this week the challenge is simple… create anything you want focusing on the color blue.

Does it have to be Bella’s blue, no. Just blue. Twilight related? Well, hopefully, but that’s up to you.
Comment challenge… What’s your favorite color to wear and why? Are there any colors that you just hate wearing?

I made my card as Blue as possible! I used a cool image I got stamped in a swap from Bombshell Stamps! I colored the bird blue and the flowers. I covered the image in crystal effects. I layered paper from marrakech paper pad. Just a simple card. This is also using the TTSC#7!

TTSC#7!! Twilight Tuesday Sketch!

Dani has been giving us such AWESOME sketches over at TwilightTuesday and I havent been playing as I should be! So top priority today was to make one for this Twilight Tuesday Sketch Challenge!

Here is my card based on the sketch. I used Unity July KOM for the image and sentiment. I used Cosmo Cricket Everafter paper. I paper pieced the bird.

Royal Kat Wednesday!!!

Hey Peeps!! Welcome to another Royal Kat Wednesday for Queen Kat Designs!!

This week the challenge was to create something based on this picture from the Pier 1 catalog!!

Oh my I can say this was tough, still is... I said this to a good friend when I was making this card..."I think the 70's barfed on my card"!! This June bug paper is cute but it was hard to make these papers go together! I tried to stay close to the colors from this picture...

as I said I used June Bug paper from BasicGrey and I used Star mermaid from Queen Kat Designs. I colored with copics and paper pieced her outfit. I added a sentiment and ribbon and rhinestones.

TTIC#39 My all!!

It is Tuesday yay!!! Woo Hoo! Another TwilightTuesday Inspiration challenge! This week the beautiful Ali has given us the challenge for TTIC39!

"Hello Everybody! It’s no secret that Breaking Dawn is my favorite book in the series. So, now that it’s my turn to create a challenge (which I am SO excited about!), of course I would pull something from that book!

***Spoiler Alert! If you haven’t read Breaking Dawn, then stop reading this post and pick up that book! Then, you can come back and read the post, and complete the challenge! ***

One of the things I love the most about Breaking Dawn are Jacob’s chapter titles. They’re hilarious!
My favorite is: “What do I look like? The Wizard of Oz? You Need a Brain? You Need a Heart? Go Ahead. Take Mine. Take Everything I Have.” Chapter 17, page 329
This chapter title perfectly depicts what Jacob is going through but in a sarcastic, tough, Jacob kinda way.

So, here’s the scoop. We’ve all been on the giving and receiving end of many things, and I’m not talking about presents. We have given our “all” (or someone has given us their “all” for us) just because we love them so much. Jacob loves Bella with everything he has and would give it all to her because of it. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for her; that’s definitely made clear in this chapter!

Comment portion: Who have you given your all to? Your kids? Your best friend? Who’s given their all to you? Your parents? A doctor? Tell us about that special relationship where someone has gone as far as they could with the gift of themselves.

Project portion: Show us who has given you their everything or who you’ve given your everything to. Make a layout showing it, or a card to give that person, or even a gift just to say “thanks” or “I love you with all that I have.”

I LOVE the chapters from Jacob's POV in Breaking Dawn!! So funny and a little sad at the same time. I know how he feels, I had times in my younger years where I knew how that felt. But now I have my husband and kids. My family has given me love, joy, fufillment...everything! I feel so full of love with them in my life, I couldn't imagine my life without them. The good times and bad it is all part of my life and I embrace every moment! I definitely give them my all back!
Here is my card. A little representation of them and the colorful paper reflects the colorful aura they put off around them! :)

Sketch for you to try fun!

It has been a while since I have played along with Jen Del Muro's SFYTT challenge. This week I decided to play along! This weeks sketch is a great one! Very fun!

I got my Fun Hanna Stamps Saturday when I got home and I have had tons of fun with them already!! I was a LUCKY winner a couple weeks ago of the Newest unreleased stamp bubbleBath Sophie!!!! She is ADORABLE!!! I am having a blast with these new stamps!

Here she is! I used Girl Friday dp from Cosmo Cricket and colored Sophie with my copics. I added crystal effects to the tub, bubbles, glass and duckie. I used a S from more of the girl friday dp and popped it up on a piece of chipboard.

***Hip Hop Hangover***

Howdy Peeps!! Friday means Hip Hop Hangover post!

Check out The Unity Blog for the complete list of ladies with hangovers! ;) We get "drunk" on Unity Stamps! I for one am swimming in them, the New KOM arrived on my doorstep yesterday and I couldnt have been happier!! I LOVE it!!

There is a new set released and a MAJOR sale going on! Great deals!

Two challenges were posted for Hip Hop, a Crinkled Challenge and 5 embellishments challenge.

For the Crinkled challenge I used the new July KOM and stamped it onto Marrakech dp and crinkled that layer. I added a bit of river rock for texture and dimension. I stamped the posies image and paper pieced the flowers. I stamped the sentiment in basic gray ink. A bit of Whisper white satin ribbon completed this card.

For the next challenge to use 5 embellishments I used the July KOM again and stamped the bird onto Wisteria dp, I cut it out and layered it onto summer sun PTI cs. I used the patch image and stamped it on more dp and distressed the edges. The sentiment is also from the KOM. My embellishments are 1 button, 1 bow and 3 brads. I am not sure I like this one....

This week we are focusing on a CRAZY color combo!! :) Yellow, Lime Green, orange and red!!! WOW!! If this doesnt get you in the summer mood I dont know what will! :)

I used this opportunity to use the Fright Night set, these are good colors for a halloween card!! I used almost ALL the stamps in the set. Some are hiding a bit. I have the main image of the tree, ghost and moon. I stamped the moon onto orange cs, cut it out and added it to my yellow panel. I stamped the cat and the hat. I offset all the layers and sponged around the edges and there you have it!

Twilight Tuesday and The Greeting Farm working together!!!! Bonus!!

Welcome to a special Wednesday Bonus Twilight Tuesday Collaboration Inspiration Challenge!!!!! Cool right???!! My dear friend Margie has been really rocking the Anyas and Ians and has worked with Beautiful Marie at The Greeting Farm in setting up this special day!! Marie has just gotten married too, Congrats Marie!!!

The Greeting Farm is having a special Release day today! We all got a Wild Sprout Edward to play with for todays special post!!! AMAZING right?? I LOVE this little guy, I actually bought him before I knew we would all be able to design with him!! I KNEW he would be mine!! :)

I paper pieced my little Eddie with Recess dp from BasicGrey, isn't he so dapper? I colored his hair with a brown prismacolor marker and YR00 copic marker. he has a bit of the same color copic on his cheeks. I colored his shoes black and left a little white to make it seem they are shiny. I layered more of the same dp and used true black, scarlett jewel and white cs from Papertrey Ink. I sponged around the edges of edward's panel added a scarlett jewel button and the sentiment is from Unity Stamp company set Bevy of Butterflies.

TTIC#38 Bella and Edward's Honeymoon!

On to Today's Challenge #38 from our Lovely Dani from HOT HOT Texas!! and she brings us a "hot" topic! ;) Bella and Edward's Honeymoon! Oh lala A long awaited part of Breaking Dawn for us all! from Dani:

"This week's challenge we will focus on the honeymoon scene from Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer.

I’m nothing if not thorough.

He didn’t ask what I was thinking, which was out of character for him. I guessed that meant that he was just as nervous as I suddenly was.Bella Cullen, Breaking Dawn, Chapter 5, p.79

Breaking Dawn has so many wonderful scenes and one of my favorites is the honeymoon that Edward took Bella on after they were married. What a romantic time for them.

Alone on a tropical island… sigh. This is the stuff that dreams are made of."

The Challenges:Craft – Make something that you feel represents Bella and Edward’s honeymoon.

Comment– Tell us about your honeymoon (no personal details please!). Did you go somewhere or see something special? Or did you just hide out from the world and enjoy being with your new spouse?If you haven’t been on a honeymoon, that is ok! What is your dream honeymoon?

Here is my sample card...

I was thinking beach, Island, Isle Esme colors and Wisteria dp from BasicGrey just fit for me in my mind. Such amazing soft pretty colors. We only see glimpses into what Bella and Edward are really experiencing (darn you SM we needed more!) That I decided to cut strips of different designs and colors to represent that aspect of the honeymoon section of Breaking Dawn. All the panels are added to a white PTI base with the feathers from Into the Moonlight set from Artful INKables stamped in versamark. I couldnt decide on the "Forever Yours" or "Why am I covered in feathers?" sentiment from Fictionally Yours that I added BOTH! It works for me! Twilight fans will certainly get it!

For my comment.. I didnt go on a honeymoon till almost two years after I got married. I was five months pregnant when I was married so we waited to go on a honeymoon and we ended up sneaking in another baby in the meantime before we got to go anywhere! :) We went to Maui in the spring of 2005...It was HEAVEN on earth. I was in LOVE with Hawaii the second we landed, even though it was POURING rain on me! The smells were AMAZING, the feeling of the air...just everything. I had never seen an ocean before then so it was so amazing to me to see the ocean and just a gorgeous week of fun! Something I will never forget!

EtsyInspired #44!! Verbenacustomblends!!

Welcome to my post for EtsyInspired challenge #44!!! Excited about the shop this week! Verbenacustomblends! This store has luscious soaps in AMAZING shapes, custom perfume scented lotions, all vegan creations too! She has cupcake shaped and heart shaped soaps, SO COOL!! I cant imagine what they smell like, i bet they all smell so good! I would love to be in her shop for a day while she makes all these! Mmmm :)

This store is on vacation this week so if you scroll down her shop page on the right side you will see a link for sales, there is all the goodies she has sold and you will find TONS of inspiration there!!! Here is the link, I will make it easy for you to find some great inspiration! :) SALES

I chose one of those cutie patootie cupcake shaped soaps and dug out my Inkadinkado stamp set I won in a blog candy eons ago and never used before!

I stamped the big cupcake onto a soft purple color cs and filled the frosting in with stickles, crystal effects and shimmerz blingz! full of life. i layered and layered and layered some more! ***how do ya like that Donna? ;) *** I added scarlett jewel buttons and a bow to the left side of the card, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this color red! Sentiment is stamped at the bottom of the cupcake panel in versafine black onyx. copics were used to color the cupcake wrapper.

Royal Kat Wednesday for Queen Kat Designs!!

It is Wednesday and time again for a Royal Kat blog hop! Queen Kat Designs stamps rock if you dont know that yet!! We get to showcase some GREAT stamps on this hop!

This week our challenge is to use this sketch, it is awesome!!

I used Marrekech paper pad from BasicGrey for all my panels and I stamped Rocker Bird in blush blossom on white cs from PTI. it was really light, I traced the tail and necklace with star dust stickles for some texture. The sentiment is from Your My set and stamped in not quite navy ink. A little hemp twine and a bow complete this card! This sketch was so much fun to work with!!
